Project summary
A new barrier and access system designed for the effective management of trucks bringing in and taking away goods was installed at the DEK logistics center and store in Prostějov.
The CROSS solution functions as a comprehensive truck management and is fully integrated with the customer's logistics software, where all information about vehicle arrivals, their time windows and the type of goods transported is recorded.
The system is based on cameras for automatic license plate reading, which verify the vehicle's authorization to enter upon arrival.
The result of the check is displayed on two variable information signs, which also provide drivers with multilingual navigation. The solution also includes a waiting parking lot for four trucks, from where the vehicles gradually receive instructions to arrive at a specific ramp at a precisely specified time.
The new system is fully automated and brings a number of advantages - smooth organization of entrances, elimination of excessive parking in the waiting parking lot, automatic storage of data on arrivals and departures, and overall higher security and more efficient operation.
The result is maximum overview of logistics and greater comfort for drivers and center staff.
