Intelligent transport system in Bedřichov
As part of the ITS Bedřichov (Intelligent Transport System) project, implemented jointly by the municipality of Bedřichov and the Liberec Region, we participated in the deployment of an intelligent transport and operation system that increases the safety, comfort and awareness of visitors to this popular tourist area of the Jizera Mountains. A key part is the ITS Jizerky mobile application, which provides up-to-date information on parking lot occupancy, traffic conditions and meteorological conditions in the area.
TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS WITHIN THE PROJECT INCLUDE:
Delivery of a traffic information system for parking lot users and the general public in a popular tourist destination.
Installation of 7 full-array variable traffic signs and 9 segment navigation signs for displaying the number of free parking spaces in individual parking lots.
Implementation of a SW platform for monitoring all installed devices, allowing authorized operators to manage (control) and passportize them with optimization for mobile devices. It also includes a portal for the public in the form of a web and mobile application (ITS Jizerky).
MAIN PROJECT GOALS:
Improving traffic awareness: the system provides up-to-date information on the traffic situation and availability of parking spaces in Bedřichov. Thanks to this, visitors can better plan their journey and at the same time reduce the traffic load in the village.
Increased safety and comfort: better information enables more efficient use of parking capacities, which contributes to greater safety and comfort for all visitors.
Support for sustainable tourism: the project helps regulate traffic while also contributing to the protection of the valuable natural environment of the Jizera Mountains.
