CROSS Zlín, a.s. has become the main sponsor of the 29th Film Clapperboard Salon for 2026, one of the most distinctive and popular parts of the Zlín Film Festival.
Zlín is a city with which CROSS Zlín, a.s. has long been closely associated. That is why we perceive the Zlín Film Festival as a natural part of the environment in which we live and work. For decades, the festival has been one of the most important cultural events in the city and has made a significant contribution to its good name in the Czech Republic and abroad.
The Film Clapperboard Salon has long been one of the most prominent projects of the Zlín Film Festival. Every year, it presents acollection of original film clappers, which are created as works of art by prominent artists, designers and personalities of the Czech cultural scene. Each clapperboard is a unique work of art with its own story and distinctive artistic processing.
The collection traditionally travels across the Czech Republic, where it is presented to the public through exhibitions. The culmination of the entire project is a ceremonial auction in Zlín. The proceeds from the auction have long been supporting aspiring filmmakers through the FILMTALENT ZLÍN Foundation Fund.
This idea of connecting the journey, movement and story is close to us not only professionally, but also symbolically – in transport it means movement and connection, in film it means a story and an emotion that remains in people.
This year's edition also includes a presentation of selected film clappers from last year's collection, which are now exhibited in the premises of CROSS Zlín, a.s. We greatly appreciate the trust of the organizers and the opportunity to bring the atmosphere of the festival closer to our employees, business partners and visitors to the company. We see the exhibition of these original works of art as an exceptional opportunity to connect the working environment with culture and support young creativity.
