Park and Ride in Karlovy Vary – modern parking facilities with access to public transport

The aim of the Karlovy Vary project was to provide superior parking services for visitors to the town. Park and ride car parks are an effective way of linking private transport with public transit. At CROSS we endeavour to ensure that the parking systems we offer are comprehensive enough to cover the needs of large cities and small communities alike.
Four CROSS APTM payment terminals were supplied in total, each one serving a different car park in the town, which are also able to dispense tickets for public transport. TOP UP cards were successfully implemented, the delivery additionally including arrival and exit terminals and equipment for licence plate recognition and gauging the heights of vehicles. Another new feature comprises LED panels that direct drivers to vacant parking spaces, while simultaneously simplifying arrival at the facilities. Our feature-rich CrossPark parking system has been put in place, permitting a single, central control room to monitor and control operations. The staff there additionally benefit from oversight of off-street parking through Invipo, the Smart City platform.
